Since 2020 we now offer a new form of sponsorship, not for a single child, grandparent or monk, but for a whole family, and not aimed at education but at health.
The TMS – Tibetan Medical System – is a form of insurance that the Department of Health of the Tibetan Government in exile offers its people. For the small sum of 50 euros a year a family is insured for any type of healthcare expense, up to a maximum of 1 lack (equal to about 1200 euros or 1300 Swiss francs). The majority of Tibetan families we meet cannot afford even this modest amount ad if unfortunately one of the family requires costly treatment it would be a tragedy for the family, not only economically but also financially, especially if the family member involved is the one who brings home a salary.
We have had to urgently help so many people like this over the years, people who without a solid financial assistance would not have been able to have treatment and would have certainly died. And who knows how many more we had no news about….
So that is why we warmly invite you to participate in this new form of sponsorship: with the same amount you use to help a child study you can insure four families!
