Distance Support

Sponsorship is an affectionate “adoption” of a child, a gift to educate a son or grandchild, an act of love. Offer the opportunity of studying without the anxiety of paying for it.

Sponsorship in Mumbai is carried out in cooperation with the “Friends of the Missionary Sisters of the Immaculate” and is dedicated to the education of children in some way connected with the leper community and therefore with the Vimala Dermatological Centre, a hospital specialized in the treatment of Hansen’s disease which still to-day is an alienating and unfortunately very common disease.

In the refugee camps sponsorship is aimed at children, young monks or old people uprooted from their country and with very low means of sustenance. To whoever chooses to sponsor a child, an elderly person or a monk, we offer the opportunity to truly come into contact with their beneficiary. Once the decision is made, we supply an information card with photo, containing information about the person and his/her family. In future you can correspond directly with your beneficiary. A real opportunity of exchange.

A further way of sponsorship is to offer health insurance (TMS – Tibetan Medical system) to the poorest families. This insurance is fundamental because very rarely do employers assume this responsibility so illness means losing one’s job and salary, apart from the medical treatment required which can ruin entire families.
